Forage First 5 Series 54H98 is a fall dormancy 4 alfalfa variety designed for improved yield and high productivity, especially under moderate to high potato leafhopper pressure. This variety boasts an excellent disease resistance package, ensuring successful establishment across a wide range of soil types. 54H98 offers high resistance (HR) to key diseases, including Phytophthora Root Rot, Verticillium Wilt, Anthracnose, Bacterial Wilt, Fusarium Wilt, and both races of Aphanomyces. It also features strong resistance to Pea Aphid, Potato Leafhopper, Blue Aphid, and Spotted Alfalfa Aphid. Adaptable to a cutting system of 3-5, 54H98 combines robust performance with the resilience needed for diverse growing conditions.
