Corn
DLF offers a wide range of advanced corn genetics and products, designed for both grain and silage. These hybrid varieties feature superior value-added traits such as SmartStax for comprehensive pest and weed control.
WHY CHOOSE DLF CORN?
DLF sources its elite corn genetics from multiple providers and routinely evaluates these genetics in replicated private trials nationwide. These trials happen annually and ensure only the strongest and best candidates are added to the DLF corn portfolio. We are proud to offer growers multiple hybrids and compositions of corn, ranging from grain, dual-purpose, and silage specific hybrids. Our portfolio of corn hybrids includes a wide range of maturities and encompasses conventional, value-added traits, and seed enhancement options to meet our growers’ needs. The consistency of our products across multiple years and locations has helped solidify DLF as a leader in the Canadian corn market.
GRAIN HYBRIDS
DLF’s grain hybrids are developed with the farmer in mind. Each potential candidate undergoes rigorous trialing and evaluation to ensure it consistently delivers high yield, standability and grain quality. The high performance of our grain hybrids is a testament to the quantity and quality of the public and private trial data we collect. SILAGE HYBRIDS DLF’s silage hybrids are known for their consistency and high fiber digestibility, which leads to increased milk and meat yields for end users. Our silage varieties feature different kernel compositions – dual purpose, leafy and floury leafy – designed to meet specific operational needs. DLF’s silage hybrids also bear the coveted Fiber Energy logo, a badge of honor for cultivars that demonstrate improved fiber digestibility year after year.
- Dual purpose: Multiple and convenient harvest options. Allows for higher planting populations and high vitreous starch.
- Leafy: Silage-specific harvest. Requires lower planting populations, while featuring increased fiber digestibility, increased tonnage, and less vitreous and more floury starch.
- Leafy Floury: Silage-specific harvest. Requires lower planting populations, while featuring increased tonnage, excellent starch availability, and high floury starch.

CORN TRAITS
DLF offers both conventional hybrids and hybrids with value added traits such as our SmartStax, VT Double Pro, Roundup Ready 2, Trecepta, and VT4 Pro, to protect your crop against above and below ground pests. Our hybrids are developed to provide multiple herbicide spray options to growers and reduce risk while increasing yields and your bottom line. Our grain hybrids are developed with on-farm flexibility in mind, chosen for their wide range of maturities that cover a wide spectrum, allowing us to meet the specific needs of our growers in many different areas.

SILAGE INOCULANTS
DLF, in partnership with Novonesis, offers three specialized silage inoculants, each designed to enhance silage quality and efficiency through targeted bacterial formulations:
SiloSolve® FC
Suitable for all crop types, this inoculant rapidly establishes an anaerobic environment to prevent spoilage. It improves both aerobic stability and dry matter recovery, offering excellent fermentation and stability even after just 7 days of ensiling.
SiloSolve® AS
This bacterial inoculant is specifically formulated for corn silage. It enhances aerobic stability by reducing heating and improves nutrient preservation. Its science-based formulation ensures better fermentation and overall silage quality.
SiloSolve® MC
Designed for wet silages, this inoculant focuses on superior fermentation and microbial control. It enhances fermentation, improves dry matter recovery, and boosts feed efficiency and milk production, based on proven research.
Each product is backed by research and designed to optimize silage management for different types of crops and conditions.
