The Forage First 5 Series 54B66 is a premium blend of winterhardy alfalfa genetics, specifically designed to thrive in a variety of growing environments. This variety demonstrates strong resistance to most common alfalfa diseases, achieving a disease resistance index (DRI) greater than 30, which helps safeguard yields in all but the most extreme conditions. With a fall dormancy rating of 4.0 and a winter survival rating of 2.0, 54B66 is equipped with seed treated with fungicides and inoculants to promote optimal emergence and seedling growth during establishment. Its total DRI is 32/35, ensuring robust performance, while also offering resistance to key pathogens, including high resistance to Phytophthora Root Rot and Anthracnose, and moderate resistance to Aphanomyces races and Pea Aphid.
