Capitan turf-type tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea) provides the highest turf quality under all types of management. Capitan forms a dense, high quality turf with a dark green color. Superior Brown patch and High Gray leaf spot resistance enables it to perform under difficult conditions. A broadbase growth form enables excellent wear tolerance with rapid recovery. High wear tolerance allows it to persist in many sites. Improved biotic and abiotic stress tolerance, rapid seedling establishment and reduced weed invasion make it a perfect choice for lawns, sports fields, sod growers or golf courses.
