Medicago sativa

Torrent

Torrent

Torrent alfalfa provides high resistance (HR) to five major alfalfa diseases including bacterial, fusarium, and verticillium wilt, anthracnose, and Aphanomyces Root Rot, and enhanced multi-race protection against Aphanomyces. Plants also demonstrate resistance to pea aphid and stem nematode. With very high multifoliate leaf expression (>76%) it has improved forage yield and quality. Torrent has a 4.0 fall dormancy and a 1.4 winter survival rating, displaying a good balance of yield and survival. Average 35 days to flowering.
